The Thatch & Thistle is a cosy, rustic place with basic wooden furniture and a warm, pubby atmosphere. It's not huge, so it's important to book at busy times, although we did see a few people walk in and get seated after the teatime "rush."It's mostly on one level, but there are steps in various places.

The restaurant has a good Sunday Lunch menu with a couple of starters, traditional main course choices and selection of sweets for £8.95, and a reasonable enough choice from the main menu to suit most tastes, including three or four vegetarian dishes.
