There has been an Indian restaurant at this spot for 18 years, but refurbishing of the restaurant formerly known as Halima's to Taj Mahal meant a restructuring of the building and a new frontage while a massive makeover inside makes it into the stylish and comfortable venue it is today. The business started out merely as a place that offered authentic, Indian cuisine.

While we cannot claim the majesty of the original Taj Mahal, we can offer one of the finest choices of Indian cuisine currently available in the North West. Our authentic dishes are individually prepared by our highly skilled team to the highest possible standards and we are proud to offer 5 star quality, silver service to all our customers.

The Tandoori chef, Azman Ali, is another relative of Ali's who has many years of experience. He is ably assisted by Hoioof Miah the second chef very experienced in Balti dishes and known well in the Midlands and finally chef (uncle) Azhar Khan, who overseas the running and preperation of all food, to maintain the high standard of cuisine.
