Bolton Food & Drink Festival 2010
Friday 27th - Monday 30th August 2010
Bolton Food and Drink Festival is back this year and it’s better than ever.
This year, celebrity TV chefs The Hairy Bikers, James Martin and Gino D’Acampo will be heading to Bolton and the Festival’s been extended to four days - giving you even more opportunity to sample and savour.
The main event on Victoria Square, in the heart of the town, is the live Rangemaster Cookery Theatre and a speciality market offering great food and drink produce. In addition, there’ll be some great events at participating local venues plus special offers at a wide range of restaurants and food outlets throughout Bolton.
The following celebrity TV chefs will be doing three cookery demonstrations:
Gino said: "I’m really looking forward to coming to Bolton for the 2010 Food and Drink Festival. It sounds like a really good range of events are taking place, celebrating the best cuisine from the region. Hopefully the dishes I create for the festival will be a hit with the town’s public, and will inspire people to be more adventurous in their own kitchens."
Warburton’s will once again be a key sponsor of the festival, but companies are being encouraged to take advantage of further opportunities for sponsorship, advertising, hosting events and providing special offers.
Si King and Dave Myers, better known as TV’s The Hairy Bikers, said: "Last year was fabulous; it was definitely one of the best food festivals we'd taken part in."
James Martin said: "I had a great time in Bolton last year and I said that if I was invited back then I’d definitely be coming back."
Last year, 50,000 flocked to the town to enjoy the festival and this year organisers are predicting the event will be even better.
